So Begins the Blame Game

Soon-to-be former 4th Congressional District Representative Cynthia McKinney (Democrat, Georgia) made her first appearance since her loss to Hank Johnson in the primary run-off yesterday. In the speech, she detailed the root causes of her loss: white republicans and technology.

Ms. McKinney, who I am sure has a job at CAIR after November, stated that the electronic ballot machines were rigged so as to disenfranchise black voters and cause her loss. She also stated that the primary laws should be changed so that party crossover voting would not be allowed.

First of all, it is important to note that Dekalb County, the area that comprises the majority of the 4th district, is majority black. As a matter of fact, the county is
54% black, as is supported by census data. So if all white people in Dekalb County voted for Cynthia, at least almost half of all black people, assuming everyone voted in the primary, would have had to have voted for Hank Johnson. Second of all, it is important to note that Hank Johnson is black and a Democrat as well.

So to say that the black voter was disenfranchised in this election is disingenuous. As a matter of fact, it is a bold assumption on her part that all black democrats would have voted for her.

Waynedawg, disagrees with me on this, but I also believe that republicans would have voted for McKinney rather than against her if they actually did cross over. I know this may be giving republicans too much credit, but a seat held by a democrat with no credibility is better than one held by a democrat who stands to gain credibility. McKinney was snubbed by her own party leadership. I happen to believe that her consistutency, black democrats, wanted a candidate who stood a chance of being taken seriously.

At any rate, McKinney took the boot, and I believe that the root cause for her defeat can be found staring back at her in a mirror.

No serious republican would ever vote for Mckinney to help her win back her Congressional seat; because the only thing more dangerous than a crazy whacko liberal like Mckinney is a crazy whacko liberal who thinks she has been legitimized by the voters in her district.

If your being sarcastic, that's one thing. But to seriously believe that republicans would vote her back in office is crazy.

C'mon Beans.....get a new conspiracy theory. That one is very leaky.

As I say, republicans should have voted her back into office if they did not. Her own party knows she is a nut and a liability to the democrats. Give her time and she would have stepped in it again.

But republicans, I have found, are not as smart as I once thought they were.

So in a sense, you are right.

Well, I’m not sure how smart I am as I still consider myself republican. And that only because there is no other party yet to fully commit my values and my vote to.

That being said, if I lived in her district as do some white folks, there is no way I could with good conscience and moral obligation cross-over and vote Mckinney over Johnson so she could hopefully win the November election and sit in a seat representing my district in Washington just so she could screw up again with her whacky liberal tendencies.

Who knows what kind of damage someone like her could befall on not just my district, but the country as well. Putting someone in office just so they can do something stupid and possibly damage our country with disastrous long term effects is not my idea exercising my freedom to vote with the perceived notion that the ends justified the means.

Count me as another not-so-smart republican.

I understand your point, Beans. There's no way a Republican would ever get elected in that district. That's why the district lines are drawn as they are, am I right?

So do you want a Democratic "intellectual" in office, or a Democratic "clown" who does her party more harm than good?.....Good question. A Republican voting for McKinney can be likened to sabotaging the Democratic party. Sneaky...very sneaky.

Perhaps it's a bit sick of me, but when I heard her black panther companion, or whatever he was, spouting off the anti-semitic remarks on camera.....I threw up my hands and shouted "YES!...ALRIGHT...HAHAHA!" because the world finally gets to see her in her true colors.
